Partnering to Promote Literacy during Annual NADA Convention

CDK Global and Walker Motor Corporation Join Forces to Provide Books to New Orleans School Children

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Jan. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- It is estimated that 1 in 4 children in America grow up without learning to read. In an effort to promote reading and learning skills in elementary school children, CDK Global has partnered with Walker Acura during NADA to support literacy and educational opportunities for at risk and under-served children in New Orleans.

Donations raised through collections from CDK Global employees, a generous company match and monies collected at their NADA booth will be combined with Acura Walker employee and client donations and given to two New Orleans elementary schools. Each school principal will be able to use the funds within the First Book Marketplace, which includes books and/or school supplies that are discounted from 50%-60% off retail prices. Books can be purchased for as little as 25 cents.
