Change the Equation Recognizes PASCO for Leadership in STEM
WASHINGTON, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PASCO signed on to Change the Equation's (CTEq) Commitment to Excellence in STEM, joining a collective chorus of business leaders in championing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) literacy. In signing the Commitment, PASCO, a member of CTEq, has reaffirmed the value it places on STEM literacy for all young people in the U.S.
PASCO and other Commitment signatories have publicly signed on to sustain a national movement ensuring STEM literacy among all high school graduates. The Commitment stresses the corporate community's pledge to collaborate with each other as well as programs and communities; high expectations for all students; data-driven advocacy for STEM; and the availability of high-quality STEM learning programs in communities across the country.
PASCO, represented by National Education Programs Manager Dori Haggerty, who has a doctorate in curriculum and instruction, and other Commitment signatories were recognized at an event on May 16, in Arlington, Virginia.
