Evolution of Pathify AI Chatbot moves beyond answering questions to take action, orchestrate specialized agents and support institution-wide AI governance

The expanded AI Agent moves beyond answering questions to help students, faculty and staff take action across campus systems, while giving institutions greater control over how AI agents are built, connected and governed.

Embedded agent orchestration identifies user intent and routes conversations to the appropriate specialized agent — whether Pathify-native or third-party — while carrying context across the interaction.

Pathify's new AI Agent includes an Agent Studio with a no-code environment for institutions to build, manage and test multiple specialized agents, which prioritize domain-specific knowledge bases, integrations and identity. Institutions connect existing data, content and agents, while enterprise governance capabilities including SSO, role-based access controls, agent validation and approval processes provide centralized institutional oversight.

In 2027, the AI Agent will deliver omnichannel support across web, mobile, SMS, and messaging apps while surfacing campus-wide knowledge gaps and seamlessly routing complex issues to human staff. Security, compliance and accessibility capabilities include SOC 2 security, FERPA and GDPR compliance and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility. The institution retains ownership of conversation data, and the data is not used by the model provider for training.
