Paws Up! MCLife Embarks on Pet Rescue Mission

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For a lot of people, pets are just another member of the family. So why not bring a new four legged family member home? On Saturday May 9, 2015 MCLife and The Place at Forest Ridge are bringing animals, people and nonprofits together at community wide pet adoption event. MCLife is embarking on a pet rescue mission and wants you to come along!

This is the fourth annual pet adoption event that The Place at Forest Ridge has hosted. They have partnered with Coconino Humane Association, Humane Society of Sedona and Second Chance Center for Animals. These organizations will be bringing cats and dogs that are available for adoption. All are invited to attend this free event benefiting our furry friends in Flagstaff.

Amanda Maestas, property manager at The Place at Forest Ridge has been working hard for months to put this event together: "We are really trying to make it a full community event. We get local shops in town [kennels, pet groomers, pet stores] and ask for donations to make raffles. We also get local radio stations involved to get promotion and ads on the radio - they provide pizza and drinks to get people out here and do a prize wheel. We're doing the same thing this year but we are making it even bigger. We are having our own BBQ to provide food along with the radio station and an open house for residents to tour."

These animals are in need of a home and that is something you can provide. Since we know asking you to adopt a pet is a lot, we are giving our residents an extra incentive. Residents who choose to adopt a pet that day will receive ½ off their nonrefundable pet fee. That equates to a $150 discount! We want to reward our residents for saving a life and we are showing that through the exclusive pet fee discount.

MCLife plans to build more community events like this one at each of our properties. We believe it is important to share the good life with our residents, their four legged friends, and the communities around them.

We expect our biggest turnout yet at the Pet Adoption Event on Saturday May 9^th. We are excited to interact with the people from Flagstaff and visitors from around Arizona.
