SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PayrollOrg® will bring together payroll professionals from colleges and universities nationwide for its 39th Annual Educational Institutions Payroll Conference (EIPC), October 18–21, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. The conference will focus on emerging technologies, legislative developments, and financial compliance issues affecting higher education institutions.
"As regulations evolve and artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the workplace, higher education payroll teams can't afford to fall behind," said Dan Maddux, Executive Director of PayrollOrg. "EIPC gives them the knowledge and tools to stay ahead of these changes."
This year's conference will feature sessions addressing AI in payroll, federal and state legislative developments, payroll and data governance, nonresident alien taxation, and IRS fringe benefit regulations specific to higher education. Additional workshops explore faculty contracts, student employment, payroll security, fraud prevention, and strategies for improving operational efficiency.
Featured general sessions include "Payroll Like a Boss," presented by John Bernatovicz, founder and president of Willory LLC; a legislative update from PayrollOrg's government relations team; and a closing session examining payroll, data, and AI governance.
The conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, with on-site registration beginning Sunday, October 18, at 1 pm ET. The event is sponsored by Sprintax.
