Payscout COO Appointed Chair Of Jefferson Awards Foundation Local Advisory Board

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Jefferson Awards Foundation announced today the appointment of Juan Sotelo, Payscout Chief Operating Officer, as chair of the Advisory Board. Sotelo has participated as a board member since 2016. Recent additions to the board include Kristy Pipes, Managing Director, Deloitte Consulting; Cynthia Scott, Regional Director, UCLA Office of Regional Giving; and Adam Scott, Partner, Westside Investment Management, bringing the total number of board members to 13.

Sotelo joined Payscout in 2013 as Vice President, Business Development. During his two years in business development, Sotelo was influential in carrying out the company's growth initiatives, internal process development, and strategic brand advancements. In 2015, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his responsibilities of overseeing marketing, brand development, operations, and customer support, Sotelo has spearheaded the company's innovative virtual reality (VR) payments application, leading to the world's first live VR payment experience and first live VR donation.

Before joining Payscout, Sotelo worked as a mathematics teacher, served as sales and operations manager for Oracle, and ran his own consulting services firm, JD & Associates. He is also Managing Partner and President of Film Antics, producing more than 20 films, including a feature film.
