Peirce College Appoints Two New Members to Board of Trustees

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Peirce College, a recognized leader in career-related education for working adults, announced today the appointments of Gerardo Monroy and Robert Grasso to its Board of Trustees. With decades of professional leadership experience, Monroy and Grasso bring valuable business acumen and strategic perspective to their new roles at Peirce.  

Monroy and Grasso further strengthen Peirce College's connection to regional workforce development. The new Board members' backgrounds are ideal for the continued development of the institution's state-of-the-art programs, designed to transform students into employer-ready professionals who are poised to succeed in an evolving job market.

Monroy is a multinational executive with more than 20 years of experience in P&L management, business development, forecasting and financial modeling. He currently serves as the President of Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company, a CNO Financial company, where he leads sales and financial performance growth, introduces new products, and accesses new markets relevant to Colonial Penn's direct-to consumer model. Monroy received his MBA from Harvard University. 

An Audit & Enterprise Risk Service professional, Grasso currently holds the position of Partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, serving primarily the technology, media & telecommunications and insurance practices. With more that 15 years of professional experience providing auditing, accounting and advisory services to public and private companies, Grasso excels in assisting clients with securities offerings, acquisitions, accounting, and reporting for complex transactions and due diligence reviews. Grasso currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Family Services of Montgomery County and is involved in his local United Way chapter.
