PenFed opens new branch in West Point Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) building and presents $25,000 donation to West Point Cyber Research Center

TYSONS, Va., Jan. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PenFed Credit Union, the nation's second largest federal credit union, today celebrated the grand opening of its new West Point Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) Branch and presented a donation to West Point's Cyber Research Center.

At a public ribbon-cutting ceremony in the main foyer of the Exchange, PenFed's President and CEO, James Schenck, a 1988 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, presented a $25,000 check on behalf of PenFed to the West Point Association of Graduates.

Already, West Point Branch Manager Tim Hordych said, "There has been a very strong, positive response to PenFed's presence in the Exchange mall. Many of our members have commented on how convenient this location will be for them. PenFed members now enjoy all aspects of truly convenient, one-stop shopping that is available at the Exchange with the addition of this new branch."

The branch space incorporates an open floor plan with interactive member-teller cash recycler kiosks and community board screens. The new location will employ four staff members, which will include a loan officer and a financial Advisor registered through CUSO Financial Services, L.P., at PenFed Wealth Management*.

The hours of operation for the PenFed West Point AAFES Branch are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday hours are now available from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The branch is located in the West Point Exchange at 1204 Stony Lonesome Road, West Point, New York.
