Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to Welcome Ethan Wayne, Son of Actor John Wayne; Actor Dan Aykroyd; Renowned Chef Jaime Laurita and Recording Music Artist Christina Milian to the 2015 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board invites all Pennsylvanians to experience the grandeur of the 2015 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show during its run from February 28 through March 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia. This year's theme, "Celebrate the Movies," will offer displays that interpret themes and characters from some well-known Hollywood films.
While viewing the spectacular floral designs, show attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Ethan Wayne, the youngest son of immortal actor John Wayne, and creator of Duke Bourbon. Wayne will meet with fans and sign bottles of Duke Bourbon on Saturday, February 28, at 2:00 P.M. in the Fine Wine & Good Spirits tasting area in the Grand Hall.
On Friday, March 6, at 2:00 P.M., visitors can meet famed TV and film actor Dan Aykroyd, who will sign bottles of his very own Crystal Head Vodka. Aykroyd is an actor, comedian, screenwriter and singer. He was the star of "The Blues Brothers" and "Ghostbusters," and has had a long career as an actor and screenwriter. Aykroyd was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in "Driving Miss Daisy."
Renowned Chef Jaime Laurita will host several special events throughout the week, including "LGBT Night" and "Wedding Wednesday," when he will offer tastings of his Bello Boy Moscato. Laurita is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. As a master chef and event and party designer and an aficionado of extraordinary cuisine and wines, Laurita has worked and toured with many famous celebrities and rock bands.
Recording music artist Christina Milian will visit the flower show on Saturday, March 7, at 3:00 P.M. to greet fans and sign bottles of her Viva Diva Moscato. Milian is an actress and musician known for her numerous Billboard Top 50 hits.
In addition, daily tastings featuring more than 100 wines and spirits from around the world will be available for guests 21 years old and older from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday and from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sundays.
For added convenience, the PLCB has an onsite Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store open from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5:00 P.M. Sundays, making it easy to purchase any new-found favorites from the tastings.
