First-time entrepreneurs Clara Kim and Ryan Roberts are opening a private infrared sauna and light therapy studio designed to make recovery part of the routine.

BEEM® Light Sauna Pensacola is preparing to open at 6235 N Davis Hwy., Ste. 105-106, bringing private infrared sauna and advanced light therapy to the local wellness scene. BEEM® offers private light therapy suites and both private and social infrared sauna experiences, giving guests the ability to make each visit their own. For Kim and Roberts, the opening also marks their first venture into entrepreneurship. The process has taken them from learning commercial real estate and construction to building a team and introducing a business that Pensacola had yet to experience.

"The best part has been meeting people who are just as enthusiastic about light therapy as we are," said Kim. "You can explain the experience, but there are certain things – the glow after a light session, relaxing in the sauna, even the cold mint towel at the end – that are just better experienced for yourself."

That philosophy will carry into the studio's opening, with two complimentary sessions giving new guests an opportunity to experience BEEM® firsthand.

The owners are also beginning to put down roots beyond the studio. BEEM® Pensacola has already supported local organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Hope Above Fear through raffle donations, with plans to continue building relationships with area businesses, charities, and community organizations.

Ultimately, Kim and Roberts want BEEM® to become Pensacola's go-to destination for the part of wellness that can be easiest to overlook.

"People are great about building a workout into their schedule, but recovery is just as important," said Kim. "Whether someone comes in after a workout or simply needs some quiet time for themselves, we want them to walk out thinking one thing: 'I feel better.'"
