Penton's American Trucker Expands Editorial Team with New Content Director and Editor Kevin Jones
Veteran trucking journalist brings expertise in owner-operator, small fleet operations
STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton's Automotive & Trucking Group has announced that Kevin Jones has been named content director and editor of American Trucker, the leading media outlet for owner-operators and small truck fleets. Jones brings 15 years of experience as a journalist focusing on business, politics and regulatory issues affecting trucking and its community of independent truck owners. The addition of the editorial veteran represents the first step in Penton's commitment to expand the American Trucker brand in 2015.
Jones will be responsible for setting editorial direction and managing day-to-day operations as American Trucker continues to build out its digital products as well as strengthen its print presence. He will be based in Little Rock, AR, and report to Jim Mele, executive content director and editor-in-chief for American Trucker and Fleet Owner, the leading media brand for the trucking industry.

He has been recognized for his work with multiple awards from the Associated Press and Arkansas Press Association, and appears frequently on trucking industry radio shows.
