Penton's Club Industry Wins Two Western Region ASBPE Awards, Honored for Outstanding Editorial

NEW YORK, Aug. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Club Industry, which as a division of Penton is the leading magazine for fitness business professionals in the United States, today announced it has won two Western region ASBPE awards, which recognize outstanding work by magazines, newsletters and digital media for business-to-business, trade, association and professional publications. 

Club Industry received a silver award in the "Individual Profile" category for Executive Editor Stuart Goldman's September 2012 profile "Survivor," which featured Joe Cirulli, founder and CEO of Gainesville Health and Fitness Centers. Goldman's profile was a finalist this year for the Neal Award, which Club Industry won in 2011 for his profile of Curt Beusman, founder of Saw Mill Club.

Additionally, Club Industry was honored with a bronze award in the "Editorial/Editor's Letter" category for Editor-in-Chief Pamela Kufahl's "First Word" column, which appeared in the February 2012 and September 2012 issues.
