Penton's WardsAuto Student Design Competition Gives Glimpse Into Future of Vehicle Interiors
Finalists to be announced April 13 at 5 p.m. in the Tech Hub of SAE World Congress

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton's WardsAuto Student Design Competition, which focuses on the automotive interior, will unveil its finalists on Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in the Tech Hub of SAE World Congress, held at Cobo Center in Detroit. Students were tasked with creating a vehicle interior for a sports car for the year 2030 that is distinctive, fun to drive on the track or open road, but also features autonomous capabilities for city commuting. This year's competition is WardsAuto's seventh collaboration with Detroit's prestigious College for Creative Studies (CCS), which has graduated many of the auto industry's top designers. The competition program is sponsored by interior suppliers IAC and Lear.
The finalists and winners are chosen by a panel of automaker design executives recruited by CCS and WardsAuto.
