Pepperdata Adds Industry Veteran to Lead Sales

SAN FRANCISCO, May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pepperdata (www.pepperdata.com), a software company that allows companies to rely on Hadoop, today announced that Brock Alston has joined the company as vice president of sales. Most recently he worked at Pivotal, and has more than 20 years of experience in business and enterprise software sales with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals while helping customers become more profitable and efficient. Alston will be responsible for expanding Pepperdata's sales organization as industry demand for Hadoop is at an all-time high.

And for the past 17 years, he has managed teams of 40 sales reps that not only delivered on – but exceeded – sales goals by as much as 240 percent. While his career has primarily been in sales, Alston began his career as a rocket scientist and holds a BS from Purdue University.
