Airstream of Utah and Airstream of Wyoming were founded by Dennis and Laura Decker. Dennis developed a passion for adventure and the outdoors growing up in Jackson, Wyoming. At 30, he opened an RV dealership in Cody, Wyoming, which quickly became the state's second largest RV dealership, receiving numerous awards for outstanding customer service. After several successful years, Dennis sold the dealership to join a startup technology company in Utah.

Later, as he and his wife, Laura, transitioned to being empty nesters, Dennis became interested in acquiring an Airstream trailer. Discovering that Utah lacked an Airstream dealership, he contacted Airstream's corporate office in Jackson Center, Ohio. Following their discussions, he and Laura were awarded the license to become the exclusive Airstream dealer in Utah. They then assembled a team that included their three sons, two daughters-in-law, a family friend, and skilled Airstream-certified technicians to launch Airstream of Utah in 2017. In September 2022, Dennis and Laura opened Airstream of Wyoming. Adjacent to Airstream of Wyoming, Dennis and Laura own Grand Buffalo RV Resort, which they will continue to own and operate.
