Perkins+Will Miami Inaugural Flagship Of Sabadell United Bank Branch

MIAMI, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading architecture and design firm Perkins+Will Miami today announced the completion of a new design concept for Sabadell United Bank on Brickell Avenue. This branch represents the future prototype for the bank's South Florida locations, implementing customer-centric design as the new standard.

The design overhaul features a "secure transparency" theme, which allows customers to decide how public or private they want their transaction to be. The space maintains a sleek, professional feel with granite floors to represent the company's stability. Much of the bank is glass, from the teller counter to the conference rooms, to promote a transparent and personal experience between customers and their representatives.

"We used Sabadell's design guidelines from its European headquarters as a guide to remain true to the overall branding of the company, but also made design modifications so its U.S. branches would be inviting to its domestic based customers," said Marlene Liriano, Interior Design Director for Perkins+Will Miami and Design Principal on this project. "To achieve this goal, we selected a limited number of materials that really exemplified the bank's motto of 'FOR MODERN TIMES, A CLASSIC BANK^TM.'"

The new layout includes sleek wood veneer sliding doors that conceal file cabinets and translucent glass counters that discreetly display FDIC-required notices. The streamlined design keeps customers focused on the high-level service they receive at Sabadell. This location will serve as the prototype for Sabadell's redesign rollout at all of their branches, maintaining the modern yet classic feel of the company.
