Permabit CTO Lends Expertise to Flash Memory Summit

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jered Floyd, CTO of Permabit Technology Corporation, the recognized leader in data efficiency technology, will serve as a forum instructor and table leader for two events at the Flash Memory Summit, August 13 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California.

Floyd will be the speaker for "Optimization Techniques Change the Competitive Landscape" as part of Forum C-12: SSD Technology beginning at 3:15 p.m. PDT, where he will highlight how flash's low-latency reads can be used to maximize data optimization performance, providing solid state storage systems with greater reliability, exceptional scalability, and far lower cost than previously thought possible.

He also will serve as the "Green Flash" table leader during the "Beer, Pizza and Chat with Experts" session from 7:00-8:30 p.m. This session will give attendees a chance to discuss how to increase efficiency to reduce storage overhead requirements and substantially reduce effective storage costs. Emphasis will be on frequently asked questions, best practices, hints and warnings, major issues, and key products and standards. Beer, wine, soft drinks and pizza will be served to promote informality and encourage networking.
