PermianLide Thanks Community and Hosts Grand Opening of Belle Fourche Industrial Rail Park
South Dakota Gains New and Improved Access to the World Marketplace
BELLE FOURCHE, S.D., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 6, South Dakota's Manufacturer's Week culminated in the grand opening and dedication of the newly completed Belle Fourche Industrial Rail Park – a development that now provides the region with access to the North American rail transportation system and improved connections to the national and world marketplace.
In cooperation with the Belle Fourche Development Corporation and Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce, PermianLide, the largest U.S. manufacturer of above-ground storage tanks and processing equipment for the oil and natural gas industry and resident of the new park hosted the event. Speakers to over 150 attendees included South Dakota's Governor Dennis Daugaard and U.S. Senator John Thune, RCP&E general manager, Blake Jones and PermianLide's plant manager, Bob Sieve.
Both Senator Thune and Governor Daugaard spoke to the positive impact of the industrial rail park for the region with Daugaard emphasizing the importance of this unique opportunity to western South Dakota and encouraging the participants to share in the vision in the days to come.
In addition to lauding the economic impact afforded the region by the 79-acre park, PermianLide took the opportunity to express their appreciation to current customers. Sieve also announced their recent receipt of three industry-related quality certifications (API – Q1 Certification, API-12F Certification and Monogram, and ISO9001:2008 Certification) that collectively validate their ability to provide reliable and safe products, meeting customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in the process.
According to president and CEO, Howard Seely, PermianLide couldn't be happier with the site selection for their facility. "We selected the Black Hills area of South Dakota and Belle Fourche specifically for our Rockies Expansion to service the oil and gas plays in the region. The area has exceeded our expectations for having a great business environment and supply of qualified employees. We have gladly made significant investments in our facility and in the community and could not be more proud of the men and women who have invested themselves in our operation. They have made this location one of our top performers in terms of safety, quality, and efficiency. We are committed to the continued growth and success of our people, our company, and the region in which we live, and I look forward to continuing our strong relationship with the Belle Fourche Economic Development Commission and the surrounding region."
PermianLide has more than 40 years of operating experience, with two well-known industry brands; Permian Tank & Manufacturing and Lide Industries. PermianLide has 8 manufacturing plants and two distribution centers across Texas, Oklahoma and South Dakota, where the newest plant services the Bakken, Niobrara and Powder River shale plays.
