Petco Continues to Expand In-Store Wellness Services

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Petco, a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services, will host celebrations to highlight its expanded veterinary services in three remodeled stores this month. The stores located in Texas will offer pet parents a full suite of in-store veterinary care and wellness services through Petco's newest store design.

In addition to the three veterinary hospitals, Petco will also celebrate the grand openings of three new stores and grand re-opening of one expanded store.

Petco stores provide a one-stop shopping experience where pet parents can purchase anything from pet food to toys and apparel, while addressing the holistic wellbeing of pets via the grooming salon, dog training area, and an expanding array of veterinary service offerings for good pet health. In addition to new in-store veterinary hospitals operated by high-quality veterinarians, Petco stores also offer on-site vaccination and wellness clinics operated by Vetco, and digitally-delivered pet health advice through PetCoach.

Petco's newest store design will be featured in three locations opening this month. The stores will open on Dec. 15: 

• South Austin located at 5601 Brodie Lane, Sunset Valley, TX 78745
• Prestonwood located at 5301 Belt Line Road, Dallas, TX 75254
• Highland Village located at 3194 FM 407, Highland Village, TX 75077

The following three new Petco stores will celebrate grand openings on Dec. 1-3:

• N. Hollywood-Victory located at 13025 W. Victory Blvd., N. Hollywood, CA 91606
• Wellness Weekend: Dec. 9-10
• Marinette located at 2704 Roosevelt Road, Marinette, WI 54143
• Asheville North located at 964 Merrimon Ave., Asheville, NC 28804
• Wellness Weekend: Dec. 9-10

One store will be expanded and celebrate its grand re-opening weekend on Dec. 1-3 and its Wellness Weekend on Dec. 9-10:

• Encinitas located at 453 Encinitas Blvd. Encinitas, CA 92024

People and pets are invited to attend the grand opening festivities taking place at each store, followed by a special Wellness Center celebration the next weekend at select new stores where they'll receive a voucher for a free vaccination package. Wellness Centers offer pet parents convenient and affordable pet wellness and vaccination services inside select Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores. Grand opening activities include ribbon cutting ceremonies, as well as in-store adoption events and special offers for Pals Rewards customers.
