Petco Love Invites Families to "Jump into Joy" During National Adoption Weekend, November 7-8

Part of its adoption campaign with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's The Cat in the Hat, the weekend includes a flagship Houston event featuring 1,500+ adoptable pets

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- National nonprofit, Petco Love, invites pet lovers to "Jump into Joy" during its National Adoption Weekend, November 7-8, and meet adoptable shelter pets ready to become part of their families. The weekend is part of Petco Love's national adoption campaign with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's The Cat in the Hat, celebrating the joy, laughter, and companionship that adopting a pet brings.

Anchoring the weekend is Petco Love's flagship Jump into Joy Pet Adoption Event in Houston, Texas at Reliant Arena bringing together more than 1,500 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens from 20+ Petco Love partner animal welfare organizations. Beyond Houston, pet lovers can meet adoptable pets at participating Petco locations and shelters in their communities.

The larger campaign brings together one of the most recognizable characters in children's entertainment and Petco Love's national lifesaving mission to help more shelter pets find loving homes. Combining the imaginative spirit of The Cat in the Hat with the love and companionship pets bring into our lives, the collaboration includes a public service announcement featuring actor Bill Hader, star and executive producer of The Cat in the Hat, and culminates in the national adoption weekend.
