Peter Hauser joins Avison Young in Orange County

Industry leader becomes Principal, will focus on expanding firm's multi-family real estate practice throughout Southern California

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Christopher Cooper, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Southern California region, announced today the strategic hiring of multi-family real estate sales specialist Peter Hauser in Orange County.

Effective immediately, Hauser becomes a Principal of Avison Young and will focus on expanding the firm's multi-family real estate practice throughout Southern California. Also joining Avison Young are Matthew Hauser as an associate and Ryan Brunswick as an analyst. All three previously worked together at Berkadia Real Estate Advisors in Orange County and will continue to specialize in multi-family investment sales at Avison Young.

Peter Hauser brings to Avison Young 34 years of commercial real estate experience, primarily in the multi-family sector. Over the past 10 years, he has closed escrow on more than $1.5 billion worth of investment real estate transactions. He was most recently Senior Director at Berkadia (formerly Hendricks & Partners), which he joined in 2002, and has also held director, vice-president and broker positions with Charles Dunn Company, Lincoln Brokerage Company, Jamboree Realty Corporation, The Hoelscher Company, and Iliff, Thorn and Company. During his career, he has garnered multiple awards and honors and has been featured in numerous publications.

In 2002, he won Hendricks & Partners' top sales client business development award. While at Charles Dunn Company, he was a five-time Charlie's Club Member award recipient. He earned three President's Club Member Awards at Lincoln and was named Rookie of the Year with Iliff, Thorn and Company in 1984. In 2015, he was a top 10 investment sales advisor with Berkadia. Peter Hauser also sits on the board of directors of Mariman & Co., a private real estate investor that acquires quality conventional and affordable multi-family communities in select California markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Southern California.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Matthew Hauser was an associate director at Berkadia. Prior to that, he was a professional baseball player with the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins organizations. He attended the University of San Diego through 2010, prior to being drafted in the seventh round by the Twins.

Before moving to Avison Young, Brunswick was a transaction analyst at Berkadia, specializing in multi-family investment sales. He played football at MIT University and attended MIT from 2005 to 2008 and Chapman University from 2010 to 2012 where he studied business administration with a focus on finance.
