Peter Meyers Joins Citia as Vice-President, Editorial & Content Innovation

NEW YORK, Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter Meyers has been named Vice-President, Editorial & Content Innovation for Citia. Meyers will oversee Citia's editorial development, building on the company's path-breaking card-based reading system. Key responsibilities include product pipeline scaling and devising new ways to showcase media partner content.

Meyers has deep experience as a writer, publisher, and interactive reading designer. He's covered technology for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Wired. At O'Reilly Media, he led the Missing Manual group as editor and associate publisher. He co-founded Digital Learning Interactive, a pioneering online textbook publisher, acquired in 2004 by Thomson Learning. He's also the author of several books, including Breaking the Page: Transforming Books and the Reading Experience (O'Reilly, 2012). Meyers graduated from Harvard College and has an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
