VIENNA, Va., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PFP Cybersecurity, a provider of an IoT security platform, today announced its expanded Board of Directors and Board of Advisors. John Czupak, CEO of ThreatQuotient, former SVP Corporate and Business Development then General Manager of Cisco Advanced Malware Protection, has joined the PFP Board of Directors. Joining the current Board of Advisors are Dave Merkel, former CTO at FireEye and Mandiant, Todd Headley, former CFO at Sourcefire and Robert D. Rodriguez, Chairman and Founder of the Security Innovation Network (SINET). These individuals will help to guide PFP Cybersecurity as it grows and realizes its vision to provide affordable and scalable solutions for large IoT deployments.

PFP provides a cutting-edge security solution based on analog monitoring, machine learning and data analytics, which delivers anomaly detection and remediation at the chip-level, as well as at the device level, in milliseconds. By embedding security at the lowest level with power analysis, PFP is making it easier and more cost effective to secure any IoT device from cradle to grave at a very low cost.

PFP's technological approach is so unique, the United States Patent Office has recently issued U.S. Patent No: 9,268,938 "Systems, Methods, and Apparatuses for Intrusion Detection and Analytics Using Power Characteristics such as Side-Channel Information Collection."

"The ability to identify anomalies and cyber attacks through power profiling is groundbreaking technology and will allow PFP to provide protection in underserved markets," said Dave Merkel, former CTO of Mandiant and FireEye and 20-year cyber security practitioner. "For example, the Internet of Things, protecting today's modern vehicles, on-chip protections for embedded devices - the potential for PFP is huge."

"We are honored that Mr. Czupak, Mr. Merkel, Mr. Headley and Mr. Rodriguez have agreed to join our boards and give us guidance as we work to deliver on our mission to be a trusted security solution in today's evolving Internet of Things landscape," said Steven Chen, Founder and CEO of PFP Cybersecurity.
