Champions for Youth organizations join Farmers® and PGA TOUR players for an interactive afternoon of golf activities

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance^® Brand Ambassador and PGA TOUR star Rickie Fowler today joined students from Champions for Youth organizations for the eighth annual Farmers Insurance Open Youth Event. From putting lessons, to target practice alongside ESPN's Michael Collins, students received first-hand instruction from great role models, on and off the golf course.

Fowler and fellow TOUR pros Billy Horschel, Ben Crane, Maverick McNealy, as well as Norman Xiong, joined more than 80 students in attendance and hosted interactive ShortGolf activities at Torrey Pines. As an alumnus of Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, amateur star and member of the 2017 U.S. Walker Cup Team, Norman Xiong, was a highlight for those in attendance from his First Tee alma mater. Xiong will participate in the Farmers Insurance Open this week on a sponsor's exemption.

The youth golf clinic also included a sticky suit competition finale, where players put their skills to the test in a unique challenge, won by Team Fowler.
