PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- This Saturday, October 25, KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy will welcome Philadelphia Eagle Nakobe Dean and his nonprofit organization, Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation, for a Community Giveback Event in partnership with Moravia Health. The event will feature free haircuts for kids, limited small bites from Phillips Cheesesteaks, and a giveaway of more than 1,000 brand-new coats for children and adults in need.
Open to families across Philadelphia, the Community Giveback reflects a shared commitment to uplifting youth and providing access to basic resources with dignity and care. The event will be held at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy, 2600 W. Clearfield Street, Philadelphia, PA 19132, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
"This partnership reflects the spirit of what we strive to build at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools—community, care, and connection," said Natalie Wiltshire, Chief Executive Officer of KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools. "We are grateful to Nakobe Dean, the Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation, and Moravia Health for choosing our campus as a place to give back and show our students what it means to use your platform for good."
Founded by Dean to promote kindness and positive impact through community service, Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation has led numerous giveback initiatives throughout the region, from holiday toy drives to school supply distributions. This weekend's event continues that mission by meeting families where they are and ensuring students head into the season warm, confident, and cared for.
"We believe in the power of community and the responsibility we all share to lift each other up," said Nakobe Dean. "This is about more than giving coats. It is about showing love and reminding kids that their city and schools are behind them."
Moravia Health, a home care agency deeply rooted in Philadelphia, joins as a presenting partner for the event, further demonstrating the power of collaboration between local organizations committed to wellness and service.
This collaboration with Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation and Moravia Health aligns with KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools' ongoing efforts to provide students and families with wraparound support that extends beyond the classroom. By hosting events that center community care, KIPP schools continue to build spaces of joy, connection, and belonging for Philadelphia families.
Members of the media are invited to attend the Community Giveback Event for photo and interview opportunities with Nakobe Dean, Natalie Wiltshire, and community partners.
