Photographer Paul Audia leaps into podcasting, sharing the moving stories behind some of his biggest assignments
CHICAGO, Dec. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- From photographing Barack Obama, to capturing the intensity of former Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka, photographer Paul Audia has his fair share of interesting behind-the-scenes stories. But it was while, on assignment, trekking across half a dozen cities and villages in Europe that the idea of sharing his experiences first came to mind.
The project was the recently launched book Sharing the Wisdom of Time by Pope Francis and Friends which narrates the harrowing stories of over 80 elders, the inspiration and the wisdom they impart. Because many of the subjects lived in remote areas, getting to them was an adventure in itself putting the photographer's determination to the test while keeping him humble every step of the way.
Audio with Audia, the podcast being introduced this month, brings to life stories from the many roads traveled along the course of a 25 year career. The first episode is titled 'One Egg at a Time,' in it, Paul Audia narrates in his radio-quality voice his perilous quest through Northern Spain to find Maria, the subject of his next photograph.
