Phrasly Launches Ultra, a Humanizer Model Scoring Above 99% Human on Pangram and Other Top AI Checkers

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Phrasly, an AI writing platform used by more than 5 million students and professionals, has released Phrasly Ultra, a humanizer model that rewrites AI-assisted drafts to read naturally while keeping the writer's meaning intact.

In Phrasly's September 2026 benchmark, Ultra's rewrites averaged a 99.8% human score on Pangram, with 70 of 72 rated entirely human. The three other humanizers tested on the same texts averaged 50% or less.

Those scores matter because of what they did not cost. Most humanizers make writers choose between a rewrite that reads as human and one that still says what they meant. Ultra was built to remove that choice, and the same benchmark measured both sides of it.

How Ultra Performs on AI Checkers

Pangram is widely regarded as one of the most accurate AI detectors available. It was trained to catch text that has been deliberately reworded, which is exactly what most humanizers produce, and that is why it was chosen as the primary measure.

The benchmark drew 72 AI-generated texts at random from a public dataset, ran each one through Ultra and three competing humanizers, and scored every output with Pangram. That is where the 99.8% average comes from. Ultra also scores above 99% on GPTZero, ZeroGPT, and Originality.ai.

None of this asks for trust. Every text, every score, and every output from the test is available in the published benchmark, so anyone can check the numbers themselves. 

Rewrites That Keep the Original Meaning

A rewrite that reads as human but changes what the writer said has solved nothing. So the same test measured that too, counting every fact a humanizer added or altered that was not in the original. Ultra averaged 0.85 per rewrite. The next closest tool averaged 2.64, and the weakest averaged 6.16. Ultra also produced the most rewrites with no changes at all.

Five Ultra Modes

Ultra offers five modes on a single slider that runs from fewer changes to more. Gentle makes minimal edits and stays closest to the original wording. Light goes a step further while keeping most of the writer's phrasing. Balanced is the recommended default and produces natural writing with strong results across detectors. Strong is a heavier rewrite for text that comes back flagged, and Max, the strongest rewrite Ultra offers, is for the most demanding detectors.
