
Pictometry Announces CEO Succession
ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Pictometry International Corporation's Board of Directors announces the retirement of Richard A. Kaplan as President & CEO. Effective August 1, 2010, Richard M. Hurwitz will succeed Kaplan as President & CEO and will be responsible for driving Pictometry through its next phase of development.
This shift in the CEO responsibility is a logical step in the evolution of the company and reflects succession planning the board initiated a year ago. While Kaplan will retire from his day-to-day role at the Company, he will continue to serve as a member of the Company's Board of Directors in which capacity he will continue to offer advice and counsel.
Over the last 10 years, Kaplan has delivered on his vast experience establishing new ventures by successfully leading Pictometry to prominence in the geospatial industry, steering it from start-up to high growth, and from a domestic to a global enterprise.
