ATLANTA, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Piedmont Orthopedics | OrthoAtlanta is pleased to welcome Sterling Tran, MD, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction, to its Marietta and Woodstock locations. Dr. Tran provides comprehensive care for patients with hip and knee conditions, with a focus on joint replacement surgery and advanced techniques designed to help patients regain mobility and return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Tran specializes in hip and knee replacement procedures, including partial and total knee replacement, direct anterior total hip replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, outpatient joint replacement and robotic-assisted joint replacement. He also provides general orthopedic fracture care and treatment for a variety of injuries.

A Georgia native, Dr. Tran grew up in Augusta and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia, graduating summa cum laude with highest honors. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He subsequently completed an adult hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.

Dr. Tran is committed to developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient's medical history, lifestyle and goals. Dr. Tran is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
