PIHRA's California HR Conference Closes with Highest Attendance Since 2007

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The California HR Conference^®, (www.cahrconference.org) one of the largest conferences for human resources professionals in the United States, ended today at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., reporting 2,381 paid attendees. This represents a 25 percent increase in delegates over last year and the three-day event's highest attendance since 2007.

This year's California HR Conference, produced by the Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA), provided a forum for discussion about the coming health care reform changes, which analysts say are likely to significantly affect employee benefits programs in 2013 and beyond for California employers.

This year's event also featured some co-located educational sessions from PIHRA partner, the Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo, increasing the total number of attendees to 2,831.

Although the majority of attendees came from California, more than 27 states and 11 countries were represented due to California HR policy and rules frequently being used as a model in companies across the country and around the world. The California HR Conference also offered a "Bosses Day" where supervisors of HR professionals attended the conference for free with their direct reports to learn about best practices in the field.
