Pilsner Urquell To Support DRAFT Magazine On Search For Ideal Bar To Host Founder's Day Celebration

CHICAGO, July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pilsner Urquell, the world's first golden beer, and DRAFT Magazine are partnering to find the ideal bar to host Pilsner Urquell's Founder's Day Celebration. The Founder's Day celebration centers around Pilsner Urquell's dedication to freshness and quality. Last year, the brand introduced express-cold shipping to the United States, delivering all Pilsner Urquell in refrigerated containers. This process helps ensure drinkers in the U.S have the same fresh-tasting Pilsner Urquell experience as those who drink it in the Czech Republic, where Josef Groll first brewed it.

Starting today, legal drinking age consumers can go to www.draftmag.com/pilsner to vote for bars they believe adhere to serving the highest quality draft beer throughout the United States.  After a DRAFT Magazine judging panel narrows down the list to 25, the top vote-getting establishment will become the official host of Founder's Day. Fans can expect to enjoy a rare unfiltered and unpasteurized treat during Founder's Day celebrations on November 11, 2013, which marks the 171^st anniversary of the first batch of Pilsner Urquell.  Currently only two bars in the world sell the unfiltered and unpasteurized version of Pilsner Urquell.
