Pine Brook Names Nicholaos Krenteras, Bharath Srikrishnan As Managing Directors

NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pine Brook, an investment firm focused on building businesses in the energy and financial services sectors, today announced the promotion of Nicholaos Krenteras to managing director, as well as the addition of Bharath Srikrishnan, who joins the firm as a managing director. Krenteras and Srikrishnan will be focusing on Pine Brook's financial services investing activities.

Krenteras, who has been with Pine Brook since October 2006 and has 20 years of investment experience, represents the firm as a director of Aurigen Capital Limited, Syndicate Holding Corp. and The Car Finance Company Limited. Prior to joining Pine Brook, Krenteras worked for LabMorgan, JP Morgan's financial technology venture capital arm, where he was a vice president of portfolio development. Earlier in his career, he worked for Bank of America as an interest rate derivatives trader and as the vice president of trading and business development for Pedestal Capital, a start-up institutional brokerage for mortgage-backed securities. Krenteras holds an A.B. in International Relations from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.

Srikrishnan, who joins Pine Brook from Five Mile Capital Partners, has 15 years of financial services investment and operating experience. As a managing director at Five Mile, he was responsible for leading the firm's financial services investment activities. Srikrishnan previously served as a principal of Lee Equity Partners, where he focused on making financial services private equity investments. Additionally, he was a co-founder and managing director of NewStar Financial, Inc., a private equity-backed middle market commercial finance company which successfully completed an initial public offering.  Srikrishnan started his career as an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of Salomon Smith Barney and as an associate with Capital Z Financial Services Partners. He graduated from Boston College with a B.S. degree in Finance, Operations and Strategic Management, with cum laude honors.
