PITTSBURGH, Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Wine Festival will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011, with 30% discount tickets available for a limited time on the festival's website.
This year marks the ninth annual edition of the world-renowned festival, which will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011, in the East and West Club Lounges at Heinz Field. The VIP tasting will run from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and the Grand Tasting will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
"This is a very rare chance to sample some of the world's very best wines, all in one place," said Dale Markham, General Manager of the Pittsburgh Wine Festival. "In addition, it's an all-around entertaining event, with special venues, presentations and appearances throughout the event space. Each of the Wine Festivals so far have been thoroughly enjoyable, but this year's event should be especially so."
People come from all over the country for Pittsburgh's festival. Over 200 wineries from California, France, Italy, Australia, Spain and New Zealand will be represented, including a fair representation of owners and wine makers.

The discount is specially timed to make tickets even more attractive as holiday gifts. From now until December 31, 2010, tickets can be purchased at a 30% discount.
