Pivotal Payments and Tender Retail partner to develop a powerful North American integrated payment solution

Partnership to provide faster, simplified deployment of EMV integrated payments

MONTREAL, Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Pivotal Payments, a leading provider of technology-driven global payment processing, today announced its partnership with Tender Retail (a division of ACCEO Solutions Inc.), one of North America's top providers of payment integration software solutions, in the development of a new EMV integrated payment service that adds simplicity and security to the retail and quick service restaurant industries, allowing both companies to reach a broader market.

The solution will combine the features of FlexPoint, Pivotal Payments' hardware, software and middleware platform that drives true secure EMV integrated processing across North America, and MCM, Tender Retail's flagship EMV-certified middleware software.FlexPoint's developer-friendly platform facilitates the acceptance of EMV chip cards, NFC payments, Apple Pay and mobile wallets, and offers remote terminal management capabilities to enable seamless software updates. MCM is the middleware solution of choice for thousands of mid- and-high-volume retailers, and is made to handle the critical communication interface between the point of sale and the transaction processor.

The partnership allows Pivotal Payments to better respond to the different card acceptance environments north and south of the border. In Canada, where over 30% of the market operates in an integrated environment, EMV chip card processing has been a mainstay for years. Pivotal will focus on mobilizing its robust direct and indirect Canadian sales channels to offer integrated solutions to a broader range of merchants, ISVs and VARs. In the US, Pivotal will use its best practices and technology support gained through years of experience managing EMV networks to assist ISVs, VARs and merchants in establishing their respective strategies prior to the October 1, 2015 EMV liability shift deadline.
