Although there is no required minimum bid for the auction, the suggested opening bid is $4.5 million. The property's owner, NBA forward Mike Miller of the Miami Heat, is confident that bidders will be attracted to the mansion now that it is on the auction block. Miller did not have the property on the market for very long before electing to hire Platinum for the sale, as Johnson suggested the luxury auction process to her client within a couple months of listing the property.  According to Johnson, the timing was right.
