BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Storage Group announced today that the firm has obtained approvals to develop Brentwood Self Storage, an 828-unit, 120,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Brentwood, Tennessee. Construction is slated to begin March 2018.
"We are pleased to be developing the Brentwood Self Storage facility and to be adding a Class 'A' institutional quality facility to our growing portfolio," said Daniel "Skip" Elefante, chief executive officer of Platinum Storage Group. "The development is located in a premier infill market that is currently underserved, positioning the development for strong future growth."
Situated on 2.8 acres of land, the development is located at the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Cloverland Drive, in the heart of Brentwood, TN. Storage Direct Brentwood will feature climate-controlled units, 24/7 surveillance, automatic door locks, individually alarmed units, electronic secured floor access, and WiFi throughout the facility.
"The Brentwood market boasts ideal self-storage fundamentals and aligns with our strategy of adding properties to our portfolio in areas that we want to be in for the long run," added Elefante. "There has been very little supply added to the area since 2007, so we are poised to make a strong entrance to the market. In addition to the lack of supply, the market has a low vacancy rate and commands strong rents, both factors that align with our strict investment criteria."
