Superfruit Shop Rallies Guests Nationwide Around Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

BELMAR, N.J., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Playa Bowls® is rallying its shops and guests across the country around the superfruit behind its most recognizable bright pink menu items for a bigger purpose this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From September 29 through November 2, Playa Bowls is partnering with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), donating a portion of its sales in support of the organization.

Playa's Pink Pitaya campaign supports BCRF's work advancing breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment while also bringing attention to the role that better-for-you menu items play in supporting guests' overall wellness. Beyond giving the campaign its vibrant pink hue, pitaya is a nutrient-rich superfruit that is high in essential vitamins and minerals, packed with antioxidants and highlighted as an anti-inflammatory booster. The campaign features three Playa favorites made with the brand's signature Playa Pitaya base: the Electric Mermaid ® Bowl, Dragonberry Bowl and Pink Pitaya smoothie.

Guests can support BCRF throughout the campaign by making a donation in shops, when ordering online, or through Playa Bowls' dedicated BCRF fundraising page. The giveback efforts will then culminate on Pink Pitaya Giving Day on October 25, as Playa Bowls donates $2 from every pitaya bowl sold nationwide to the organization, giving guests another way to turn their favorite bowl into fuel for lifesaving breast cancer research.
