Playboy Magazine Releases Its 2015 Top Party Schools List

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Playboy magazine today released its highly-anticipated list of the nation's top party schools, with Ohio University taking the number one spot.  This is the first time Ohio has taken top honors and the fourth time the school has been included in the magazine's much-talked-about rankings.

The following is a complete list of "Playboy's Top Party Schools 2015," as featured in the magazine's October 2015 issue (on newsstands and iPlayboy.com Friday, September 18, with the complete rankings available now at www.playboy.com/2015partyschools):

This year's list was determined by the magazine's editors who considered a variety of factors in their selection process, including access to nightlife and musical events, and creativity when planning social gatherings. A reader's poll and feedback from Playboy's more than 28 million social media fans were also considered, along with information from the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, and the US Economic Census. 

Playboy last published its "Top Party Schools" list in the magazine's October 2014 issue, with the University of Pennsylvania crowned as number one. Playboy's first party school list, "Top 40 Party Colleges," appeared in its January 1987 issue, with California State University-Chico taking the top spot.  Party school rankings have also appeared in the magazine's November 2002, May 2006, May 2009, May 2010, May 2011, October 2012, and October 2013 issues.
