Playboy Names Dani Mathers Its 2015 Playmate Of The Year

LOS ANGELES, May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dani Mathers, a 28-year-old actress and model from Southern California, has been named Playboy's 2015 Playmate of the Year. A formal announcement ceremony will take place this afternoon during an exclusive cocktail luncheon on the garden grounds of the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, California. Dani first appeared in Playboy as the magazine's May 2014 Playmate of the Month.

Along with her title, Dani receives $100,000 in prize money and a one-year lease on a 2015 MINI Cooper S Convertible in Midnight Black. Dani will make her first public appearance as Playboy's 2015 Playmate of the Year this evening at the opening celebration of Bar Fifty Three, The Lore Group's newest Los Angeles hot spot located on the Sunset Strip. The lounge's décor is inspired by Playboy's early years (the magazine made its debut in 1953), with rich leather booths and midcentury modern furnishings. The art and photographs on the walls will reflect the early Playboy aesthetic.

Over the course of her career, Dani has appeared in numerous films including Neighbors and Furious 7, and has had a recurring role on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful since 2005. She has also starred on Playboy TV's Badass and Playboy Trip: Patagonia.

Dani is Playboy's 56^th Playmate of the Year. Playboy named its first Playmate of the Year, Ellen Stratton, in 1960.
