Ply Gem Building Products Tackles Affordable Housing with Year Three of The Home for Good Project
Announces Expanded 2018 Program with Country Music Artists, Brett Young and Lauren Alaina, as Regional Ambassadors
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ply Gem® (NYSE: PGEM), a leading manufacturer of building products for 75 years, is expanding its Home for Good project in 2018 to more directly impact local communities in need of safe, affordable housing. In addition to continuing its partnership with national campaign ambassador and GRAMMY Award winner, Darius Rucker, Ply Gem will also partner with two of country music's rising new artists, Brett Young and Lauren Alaina, as regional ambassadors for the Home for Good project.
Ply Gem launched the Home for Good project in 2016 as a means to raise awareness of, and help solve, the critical need for affordable housing in America. Today, more than 43 million Americans remain below the poverty line, many of whom struggle to afford their homes.1 Ply Gem believes that every American should be able to live in a safe, affordable home and that creating access to homes that are more affordable will lead to economic growth for our country and better educational outcomes for children and families.

Throughout 2018, the Home for Good project regional ambassadors, Brett Young and Lauren Alaina, will work alongside Ply Gem and other volunteers in communities like Wake County, NC; Anaheim, CA; and Philadelphia, PA – participating in neighborhood revitalization with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Brett Young will perform a live concert at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, FL, on January 9th at 5:00 pm at Ply Gem Booth #W2501.
