Because of the technological and financial benefits, PocketiNet Communications began investing in Fiber services throughout the Walla Walla Valley in 2009.  Due to the cost of distribution, Fiber primarily served commercial and educational interests in the valley.  That is, until now.  On August 27^th, 2015 a crowd of community members and civil leaders gathered at Howard-Tietan Park in Walla Walla, WA to hear PocketiNet announce who would be the first in the valley to receive Gigabit Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH).  The four neighborhoods announced are Palouse, Boyer, Cottonwood, and Plaza-Taumarson.
