Point Blank Enterprises Announces Two Executive Appointments as a Result of Recent Business Growth

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Point Blank Enterprises ("PBE"), the worldwide leader in the production of soft body armor and related protective solutions, today announced that Michael Foreman has been appointed Executive Vice President of International Business Development and that Hoyt Schmidt has been appointed Senior Vice President of Law Enforcement Sales.  Both appointments are a direct result of the contributions each has made in their respective areas as the Company continues to experience impressive growth across its international and domestic business.

Mr. Foreman has been with Point Blank for over a decade and has held numerous positions within the Company, having most recently served as Senior Vice President of International Sales and Head of Product Line Management.  In his new role, he will continue to oversee product development for all markets, as well as driving the Company's sales efforts outside of North America.  In addition to his sales functions, Mr. Foreman will also be responsible for international new business ventures, including market focus, strategic relationships, product offerings, as well as integration and coordination with other functional areas, particularly manufacturing, supply chain management, distribution and marketing.  Mr. Foreman is a retired Chief with the Orange County Sheriff's Office (FL) and recently achieved 40-years as a sworn law enforcement officer.

Additionally, Mr. Foreman currently serves as a Director Emeritus with the National Tactical Officers Association ("NTOA"), serving on the Board of Directors since 1997.  He is recognized as an expert in tactical operations and use of deadly force by law enforcement.  He has also lectured throughout the United States, Canada, Caribbean, Europe and South America and is frequently called upon to testify as an expert in State and Federal court.  He has a degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Senior Leadership Program as well as Leadership Orlando.

Mr. Schmidt is another former law enforcement professional having retired from the Tallahassee Police Department in 2001.  After serving with the TPD, he joined Specialty Products Group, where he began his commercial career working in sales of body armor and other life-saving products for the law enforcement market.  He joined Point Blank Body Armor as a Sales Representative in 2006, focused on the Southeast Region, and has since risen through the ranks, holding a number of positions including Director of Sales Support, Regional Vice President, and Vice President of Law Enforcement Sales.  With this latest appointment, Mr. Schmidt is now responsible for overseeing all of the Company's non-military, domestic sales operations, which include law enforcement, corrections and private security.  He received his BS in Criminology from Florida State University.
