Polaroid Announces Exclusive Partnership With Starlight Marketing (H.K.) Ltd.

MINNETONKA, Minn. and HONG KONG, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Polaroid announced today the completion of an exclusive five-year license agreement with consumer electronics manufacturer and distributor, Starlight Marketing (H.K.) Ltd. (Starlight) a wholly owned subsidiary of Starlight International Holdings Limited.

Under the terms of the agreement that encompasses retail sales in the United States and Canada, Starlight will produce and distribute Polaroid-branded instant photography products, such as the Zink-enabled product line and the Polaroid 300 instant film camera.  Starlight will also produce and distribute digital still cameras, digital video cameras, digital photo frames and Polaroid PoGo™ mobile products.

This announcement follows the earlier announcement of the partnership with Starlight to manufacture and distribute Polaroid-branded flat panel TVs for retail in U.S. and Canada. Starlight also manufactures and distributes Polaroid-branded stand-alone DVD and Blu-ray players, portable DVD players, e-book readers, iPod docking stations and home theater systems.
