TEL AVIV, Israel, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

RADWIN (http://www.radwin.com) - the global sub-6 GHz broadband wireless leader - today announced that the Alameda County Housing Authority deployed the RADWIN 5000 Point-to-Multipoint base stations and subscriber units to connect video surveillance camera sites across its housing project, transmitting the video back to the local Police Force station. The RADWIN-based surveillance network is helping the housing authority to cut down on crime and empowering the local police force to rapidly detect and respond to security violations. Cyberwatch, a leading system integration firm based in San Jose, California, U.S., was in charge of project design and implementation.

Hamid Marshall, Chief Engineer at Cyberwatch: "After running various wireless systems through rigorous validation tests the results showed that RADWIN 5000 point-to-multipoint systems offer lowest jitter and highest throughput - we clocked 100 Mbps. In the deployment phase there were obstacles to direct line-of-sight but RADWIN's systems and Cyberwatch's RF engineering and embedded software expertise enabled us to overcome these issues. Since installation, RADWIN's systems have performed perfectly and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice."

Dennis Stipati, GM, RADWIN NA: "RADWIN 5000 PtMP work in any environment to deliver outstanding video transmission quality. Our systems empower Police departments and first responders to detect and respond to unfolding events in real-time, and provide video surveillance footage of the highest quality."
