Polsinelli's Real Estate Team Earns Top Recognition from U.S. News & World Report "Best Law Firms" Rankings and Announces Department Leadership Changes to Position for Continued Growth

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli announced today recognition of its national Real Estate practice by U.S. News & World Report. The practice earned a Tier 1 ranking, the highest score, in the National 2018 Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" list.

Polsinelli was recognized in 152 total categories on the 2018 "Best Law Firms" list, including being named "Law Firm of the Year" for Health Care, demonstrating the firm's ongoing commitment to producing the highest quality services and outcomes to health care, real estate and other industry clients across the country.

This national recognition occurs during a time of leadership changes within the firm's Real Estate & Financial Services Department. This month, Greenfield, a Chicago-based Shareholder, joins current Real Estate Division Chair John D. Petersen as Co-Chair of the firm's Real Estate Division, while Denver-based Shareholder Amy Hansen becomes Chair of the Real Estate Practice.

Greenfield previously served as Vice Chair of the firm's Real Estate Practice under former practice Chair F. Chase Simmons, who was elected as Polsinelli's Vice Chair and Chairman-Elect in May to succeed Chairman and CEO Russ Welsh in January 2019. Kraig Kohring was announced last month  as the firm's new Chair of the overall Real Estate & Financial Services Department.

With a focus on student and senior housing around the country, Greenfield also works on domestic and cross-border real estate transactions, representing clients with structuring, negotiating and documenting all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, finance, leasing, and disposition of office, retail, industrial and warehouse assets, with a substantial representation of parties on joint venture vehicles. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, he has been a valued member of the Polsinelli team since 2012 and was recently selected for inclusion on the 2018 The Best Lawyers in America® list for Real Estate Law.

As the new Chair of Polsinelli's Real Estate practice, Hansen represents real estate developers and investors in matters across the U.S., which work includes a broad scope of issues relating to mixed-use resort, urban and transit-oriented development projects, large scale master planned communities, and opportunistic investment in operating real estate assets in the industrial and office sectors. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law and was recently ranked in this year's Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for Real Estate in Colorado.
