Polunsky Beitel Green Adds Respected Mortgage Lending Regulator Douglas B. Foster

DALLAS and SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The nationwide residential mortgage lending law firm Polunsky Beitel Green, LLP, is pleased to announce the addition of former mortgage industry regulator Douglas B. Foster. He will serve as the firm's Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Mr. Foster assumed the new role after his recent retirement as Commissioner of the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (TDSML), where he served in various capacities for the past 29 years. He will assist clients in all phases of mortgage regulatory compliance, licensing, examinations and investigations.

Mr. Foster recently served as Vice Chairman for the board of managers for the State Regulatory Registry (SRR), which owns and operates the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). As an SRR board member, Mr. Foster served as chairman of two committees that explored both the feasibility and the eventual implementation of the Uniform State Test (UST) adopted by more than 35 U.S. states.
