Polymarket Launches New User Protections and Trust & Safety Program

New responsible trading tools, mental health resources and Trust & Transparency Center reinforce Polymarket's commitment to protecting users and its marketplace

NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Polymarket, the world's largest prediction market platform, today unveiled a suite of enhanced user protection and responsible trading tools, including voluntary self-exclusion, deposit limits and access to mental health resources for users experiencing compulsive trading behaviors. The company is also building out its Trust and Safety team to oversee these efforts across its U.S. and international platforms, while publishing new community guidelines and content moderation standards.

These tools give users greater control over their activity on Polymarket. Traders can voluntarily exclude themselves from the platform for periods ranging from 30 days to one year to a lifetime. U.S. users can also set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits across all funding methods. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, while raising or removing one requires a cooling-off period.

Polymarket is launching a new Trust & Safety Center, a centralized resource where customers can learn more about how Polymarket protects its users, upholds its rules and safeguards the marketplace. The center will bring together information on user protections, market integrity and other Trust & Safety initiatives across Polymarket's U.S. and international platforms, including community guidelines and content moderation standards covering market comments, chat, Squads, profiles and the Polymarket Discord. Additional resources will be added over time.

In addition, Polymarket has partnered with Birches Health, the largest national provider of behavioral and process addiction treatment, to provide mental health resources for users experiencing compulsive financial trading behaviors. Birches Health provides specialized, confident virtual care across all 50 states, including clinical assessments, individualized recovery plans and ongoing treatment. Resources will be surfaced within the product and through customer support interactions, giving individuals access to additional support when needed. Polymarket is also developing educational materials to help participants better understand responsible trading and the tools available to manage their activity, including a co-branded Trading Responsibly guide, which also includes a four-question self-check to help users identify when it may be time to seek additional support.
