Pom Pom Wow Attraction Unites Kids Across the Globe
CYPRESS, Calif., Nov. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Maya Toys today unveiled its plan to construct a walk-through globe designed with more than 150,000 pom-poms as a branded attraction within the 2016 Chicago Toy & Game (ChiTAG) Fair. The initiative, which showcases the company's Pom Pom Wow arts-and-crafts brand, unites children across numerous countries through their participation in using Pom Pom Wow products to design their respective nations' flags.
The event attraction coincides with a surge of pop-culture interest in pom-poms. "With the pom-pom craze in full swing internationally, we will bring together children throughout the world in a unique and fun way," said Jennifer Strick, director of marketing for Maya Toys. "With the largest object ever created using Pom Pom Wow products, the attraction serves to reinforce the idea of kids, and people in general, uniting to celebrate the value of play."
The globe, 21 feet in length and 10 feet in height, features pom-poms of assorted colors to depict the world's continents and seas. Each pom-pom flag created by children in representing their nations will be shipped to the United States and placed at the base of the Pom Pom Wow globe for the ChiTAG event.

The walk-through globe serves as a key attraction at the ChiTAG Fair on November 19 and 20 at Navy Pier in Chicago. The annual event is the largest toy and game fair in the United States.
