PORT WINE FEST CELEBRATES PORTUGUESE WINE AND CUISINE WITH A WEEK OF UNIQUE EVENTS ACROSS THE U.S.

The third edition of the Port Wine Fest will visit San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City in Fall 2025!

NEW YORK, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Port Wine Fest–a festival and celebration of Portuguese wines, gastronomy, and culture organized by the Port Wine Shippers Association (AEVP)–returns to the U.S. following the success of their inaugural U.S. tour in April and October of 2024, which took place across five major cities. The 2025 edition will bring over 40 Portuguese producers to San Francisco (September 30th), Chicago (October 2nd), and New York City (October 7th), featuring unique edition events in each city for the first time ever.

The Port Wine Fest will kick off with its first unique experience in San Francisco on Tuesday, September 30th, taking over the striking space at The Cube. The festival aims to introduce wine industry professionals and consumers to a world of difference with Portuguese wines from producers across Portugal, food by esteemed Portuguese chef, Telmo Faria, and music inspired by the region. Trade and media professionals are invited to explore Portugal's many wine regions from 11AM-3PM and join an educational exploration led by Danielle Kuzinich of the San Francisco Wine Society. A consumer party will take place in the evening from 5-8 PM, where Portuguese wines, bites, and activities will transport attendees directly to Portugal without leaving San Francisco. Then the Port Wine Fest heads over to Chicago, bringing a taste of Portugal to the Walden Chicago on Thursday, October 2nd, along with a private induction ceremony to welcome and celebrate new Confraria do Vinho do Porto (Port Wine Brotherhood) members. Dive into a masterclass with Master Sommelier Jim Bube and a trade and media walkaround tasting from 11AM-3PM. And from 5-8PM, consumers can join for an immersive evening of Portuguese wine and regionally-inspired bites. The festivities will conclude in New York City with another proprietary event at Ideal Glass Studios on Tuesday, October 7th. In partnership with Chef Nuno Sousa and Leitao, Port Wine Fest will offer a gastronomic experience throughout the day. An exclusive food and wine pairing celebration for industry professionals will kick off NYC Port Wine Fest, followed by a walkaround tasting for trade and media from 12-4PM and a masterclass hosted by Advanced Sommelier and educator Jienna Basaldu.
