Positive Coaching Alliance receives $10,000 MassMutual Foundation Grant

SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a nonprofit organization focused on helping kids become better athletes, and better people through a positive, character building youth sports experience, has received a $10,000 grant from the MassMutual Foundation as part of a national Community Service Award (CSA) program. PCA is one of twenty-two organizations nationally to receive an award. The MassMutual Foundation made the grant as a tribute to the volunteer efforts of Doug Van Order, a MassMutual Advisor with Tier One Financial in Sacramento.

PCA works with local schools and youth sports leagues to ensure that every student athlete has the opportunity to have a positive youth sports experience. With youth sports as their vehicle, PCA works with athletes, parents and coaches to help kids develop the skills they need – skills like character, integrity, teamwork and resilience – to be the best version of themselves on and off the field.

Doug has been associated with MassMutual Northern CA for nearly 5 years and the industry for over 23. He has been committed to PCA since 2012 and has been a leader in helping PCA impact thousands of kids during his time on the board. His time, effort and passion for the PCA mission has been instrumental in the organizations growth and impact in the Sacramento region.
